World Record Line
The world record line is a simulated red line superimposed onto television and/or venue screens to indicate a swimmer’s performance in comparison to the current world record. It is essential in arousing an excited and tense atmosphere. The world record line moves at the pace of the current world record holder and appears on the last lap if the record appears breakable.
